Produce Clerk Part Time

BJ’s Wholesale Club is hiring a Produce Team Member to sort, display, remove, and replenish fresh fruits and vegetables in the produce department.

• Provide assistance to members in the produce department; answer questions and recommend products.
• Inspect, rotate, and store produce upon delivery; ensure all received produce meets or exceeds company standards.
• Rotate produce on the sales floor to maintain optimal freshness and variety.
• Stock cases and display areas fully; keep displays neat and clean; remove unsellable items.
• Maintain the produce reserve stock area; date and rotate all back stock items, keeping the storage area organized and condensed daily.
• Dispose of damaged, spoiled, or expired products following established guidelines.
• Assist the Fresh Manager with inventory and order processing as needed.
• Clean and sanitize all produce equipment, display fixtures, and areas, including the cooler and refrigerated display cases.
• Generate signage for produce goods and perform price checks; ensure accurate pricing and signage.
• Maintain all club policies and procedures; perform other duties as assigned, including work in other departments as needed.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.

• Preferable work experience in a produce department.
• Knowledge of fruit and vegetables, including seasonal items.
• Minimum age 18 years.

• Frequent movement on hard surfaces; bending, climbing, crawling, pulling, reaching, and stooping.
• Often lifts objects up to 30 pounds; may require lifting heavier items with assistance.
• Work in a comfortable indoor environment with exposure to temperature extremes from freezers, ovens, and coolers.
