The Sales Consultant role is a full-time, on-site position based at Golling Kia in Madison Heights, MI. In this role, the Sales Consultant will greet and assist customers, identify their needs, and guide them through vehicle selection, test drives, and financing or leasing options. Day-to-day responsibilities include explaining vehicle features and benefits, presenting pricing and offers clearly, and following up with prospective and existing customers to support ongoing relationships.
The Sales Consultant will also maintain product knowledge on Kia models, stay informed on current promotions and inventory, and collaborate with team members to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals. Accurate documentation, use of dealership systems, and adherence to all policies and compliance requirements are expected.
- Strong Sales Consulting and Consulting skills to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate vehicle and financing options.
- Focus on Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service to ensure a positive, respectful, and supportive experience for every visitor.
- Clear Communication abilities, including active listening and confident presentation of product information, pricing, and terms.
- Previous experience in automotive sales or retail sales is preferred, with a proven ability to meet or exceed performance goals.
- Comfort working on-site in a fast-paced showroom environment, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn dealership CRM and inventory systems.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and authorization to work in the United States.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or sales training is beneficial.
