What you will do
The HVAC Project Apprentice will work with the project team on installation and service in various types of HVAC equipment. The position comes with a company gas card and company truck, which will be issued once the employee completes the 90‑day probational period. Johnson Controls takes pride and looks forward to training apprentices to become competent, high‑skilled journey persons for our company and the workforce.
Howyou will do it
- Installation of chillers, cooling towers, pumps, air‑cooled chillers, boilers, piping, ductwork, rooftop units, split‑systems, and more.
- The project apprentice will be trained on Johnson Controls safety culture and be supervised to ensure safe, efficient work and compliance with all safety rules required by JCI.
- Following Johnson Controls safety protocols and wearing PPE on site.
- Working in teams of 2‑6 depending on the size of the project.
- 1 year experience working on mechanical systems.
- Basic technology and computer skills.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with others.
- Must be involved in a 5‑year local union apprenticeship program.
Pay Range: $40 hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet.
