Job Summary
The Warehouse Coordinator I plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient management of warehouse operations, inventory control, and material handling. This position is responsible for overseeing the receipt, organization, and dispatch of goods to support production demands and operational needs. The Warehouse Coordinator I must work in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment, maintaining inventory accuracy, adhering to safety standards, and supporting the overall operational efficiency of the warehouse.
This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage physical tasks such as standing, crouching, and lifting up to 60 lbs. throughout the shift.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy of quantities and items delivered.
- Organize materials in the warehouse to ensure easy accessibility and proper storage, optimizing space usage.
- Track and manage inventory levels, ensuring stock is available for production, and proactively report potential shortages or overstock issues.
- Assist with routine inventory audits and cycle counts, ensuring the integrity of inventory data.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and company vehicles to move materials to and from storage areas, production locations, vendors, and customer sites as needed.
- Perform local pickups and deliveries of materials, supplies, equipment, and finished products to support operational requirements.
- Load, unload, and secure materials for transport, ensuring products are handled safely and arrive in good condition.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance, safety, or operational concerns.
- Verify delivery paperwork, manifests, and shipment documentation to ensure accuracy during transportation activities.
- Inspect incoming materials for damage or defects, reporting any issues to supervisors and adjusting inventory accordingly.
- Stage materials for production or dispatch, ensuring timely and efficient fulfillment of production requests or customer orders.
- Review and confirm material information, ensuring alignment with production orders or Bills of Lading.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, including receiving, storing, and shipping of materials.
- Prepare documentation for the fulfillment of internal requests, ensuring accurate tracking of orders and inventory adjustments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Regularly inspect warehouse equipment and report any maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff, production teams, vendors, and customers to facilitate timely pickups, deliveries, and inventory transfers.
- Communicate transportation delays, inventory discrepancies, and operational concerns to the Warehouse Manager in a timely manner.
- Work closely with warehouse staff, production teams, and the Warehouse Manager to ensure seamless operations.
- Strong focus on accuracy in handling and documenting inventory and shipments.
- Effective interpersonal skills to work with cross‑functional teams and provide timely updates to supervisors.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and basic computer functions.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards, including material handling and equipment operation.
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Basic understanding of Marijuana laws, rules, and regulations set forth by the state.
- This position is responsible for supporting warehouse operations, inventory management, and material movement activities. Approximately 70‑75% of the role is focused on warehouse and inventory functions, with 25‑30% dedicated to company vehicle operation, local deliveries, pickups, and transportation‑related responsibilities.
