Contributes to the efficient operation of a school office.

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated competency in typing and word processing
• Formal training beyond high school preferred
• Alternatives to the above qualifications may be accepted by the Board as appropriate and acceptable

• Demonstrated keyboarding skills using a computer
• Basic knowledge and skills in operation of computer programs and related technology
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, administrators, teachers, and coworkers
• Capability to move and lift moderately heavy weights
• Physical and emotional ability and dexterity to perform required work and move about as needed in a fast‑paced, high‑intensity work environment

• Prepares letters, memos, reports, various forms, etc.
• Answers telephone and meets the public
• Maintains student attendance and other student records
• Receives, examines, and routes incoming mail and correspondence
• Processes free and reduced lunch applications
• Prepares material for the beginning and end of the school year
• Files correspondence, invoices, cards, records, and reports
• Maintains confidentiality regarding school personnel and students
• Performs related duties as assigned
