Job Summary
Kickstart your career in operations as a Facilities Operations Coordinator II – an exciting entry‑level role where you’ll play a key part in keeping day‑to‑day facility operations running smoothly. In this position, you’ll gain hands‑on experience supporting capital projects through financial and administrative coordination, including tracking expenditures, contributing to budgeting and forecasting efforts, and helping drive accurate reporting. You’ll also be at the center of operations, managing facilities systems and coordinating service requests, maintenance, and infrastructure repairs to ensure everything runs efficiently.
Responsibilities- Expense administration for the full lifecycle of Facility Operations Capital projects in ERP from initial project request through to closeout and completion – handling all financial transactions, purchase orders, invoicing, and receipts.
- Monitor Capital project expense activities (30%) and provide timely updates to support budget planning, forecasting, and variance reporting.
- Administer the facilities management software – schedule, monitor, and close work orders; coordinate maintenance, compliance, and repair activities for building systems, equipment, and office infrastructure; and manage facility‑related service requests to ensure timely resolution (30%).
- Support contract compliance efforts by meeting with internal teams and contract providers to ensure all financial conditions are met; communicate effectively with internal customers, project team, management and supervisory personnel, and contracted service providers.
- Assist in the implementation of performance measures and evaluation systems for facility‑related operating expenditures, processes, and services to ensure efficiency and effectiveness (30%).
- Engage in other duties as needed that support Alliant Energy’s values and help deliver on our purpose to serve customers and build stronger communities.
Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in facilities planning, project management, business administration, or a related field.
Experience3 years of related technical and/or professional experience. Preferred experience includes facility planning and project management.

Alliant Energy offers a comprehensive total rewards package, including competitive salary, health and retirement benefits, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, and a $25.00‑$31.00 hourly rate with eligibility for an annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors, including the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity, and other relevant qualifications.
