West Alabama Bank & Trust is seeking a detail-oriented Operations Clerk to join our Operations Department. This position supports the daily processing of transactions and helps ensure the accuracy and efficiency of the bank’s back‑office operations.
Responsibilities- Process and verify daily banking transactions.
- Balance internal accounts and prepare reports.
- Research and correct transaction or posting errors.
- Assist with ACH, wire, and exception item processing.
- Communicate with branches and departments to resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate records and follow bank procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with accuracy and meet daily deadlines.
- Proficiency with computers and basic office software.
- Previous banking or accounting experience preferred but not required.
