Member Services Representative

Location:

Madison, AL (8050 Hwy 72 W, Madison, AL 35758). Salary: $10.50 – $11.00 per hour.

We are looking for a Member Services Representative to join our team and provide a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests.

• Greet members, prospective members, and guests and provide exceptional customer service.
• Handle all front‑desk activities: answer phones, assist callers with questions, check members into the system, give club tours, and enroll new members while calculating rates and monthly payments.
• Assist the Club Manager with cash drawer counts as needed.
• Update members’ account information accurately and promptly.
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner, escalating to the Assistant Manager or Club Manager when appropriate.
• Maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the club: complete daily cleaning tasks within the first hour of your shift, perform the priority cleaning list, conduct walk‑around and bathroom checks, and assist with special cleaning projects as required.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities based on club needs.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Customer service background preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Punctuality and reliability are essential.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Positive, upbeat attitude and passion for fitness and health.
• Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact professionally and positively with members and coworkers, exceeding expectations.
• Strong listener with empathy and problem‑solving abilities.
• Diplomatic communication using appropriate behavior and language.

• Continual standing and walking during shift.
• Continual speaking in person or on the phone during shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• May encounter toxic chemicals occasionally during shift.
