General Manager Responsibilities CENTER OPERATIONS
  • Understand the center’s key KPIs and financials to make informed and responsible business decisions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Kid Strong families to align with our core values and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Oversee center-level initiatives such as maintenance, training, brand consistency, etc.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance of the center.
  • Schedule operations on a 4‑weekday and 1‑weekend shift schedule, adjusting hours based on center needs.
  • Ensure all coaching shifts are covered and shifts are assigned consistently.
  • Schedule and sell Kid Strong events such as camps and parties to maximize center profitability.
  • Support the center’s social media presence with on‑brand, organic posts, stories, and reels; respond promptly to inquiries.
SALES
  • Maintain flawless lead management by conducting call drives to new and existing leads in the center’s CRM tool.
  • Finalize sales and bookings that are generated through the online self‑sign‑up flow.
  • Source and attend local events to increase brand awareness and drive incremental leads and memberships.
LEADERSHIP
  • Foster a coaching culture – see something, say something.
  • Continuously assess and evaluate coaches based on the Kid Strong Coach DNA profile and class quality.
  • Recruit, screen, interview, onboard, manage, train, and coach candidates as needed to ensure the center is fully staffed.
  • Manage and support the ongoing professional development of staff through Learn Upon, our online education resource.
  • Lead monthly center‑level staff meetings focused on development, productivity, programming, and product.
  • Communicate professionally with co‑workers via Slack and email; check messages periodically when not in the center.
  • Attend weekly leadership meetings.
COACHING
  • Coach students by delivering an evolving curriculum that focuses on brain, physical, and character development for ages ranging from walking to approximately 11 years old as required by business demands.
  • Understand the “why” behind the Kid Strong curriculum and be able to clearly and concisely communicate it.
  • Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various programming and curriculum elements.
  • Work in a physically intensive environment – coaches may cover multiple miles in a shift, move equipment up to 25 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ensure proper technique and student safety while working with kids.
  • Provide approximately 5–15 coaching hours per week.
Skills/Qualifications
  • Athletic and/or coaching background with experience working with kids ages 15 months – 11 years old; passion for working with children is non‑negotiable.
  • Comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding a variety of topics.
  • Prior experience as a pediatric OT/PT is a plus, but not required.
  • Previous experience in management is required.
  • Basic proficiency with technology systems such as Google platforms (Gmail, Calendar, Sheets, Docs) and CRM tools like Hub Spot, Podium, and Kid Strong systems.
  • Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics.
