Job Summary
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School Diploma
2. Post secondary training preferred
3. Experience/training in computer operations JOB GOAL:
Maintains student records
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Prepares and maintains cumulative records on each enrolled student
2. Evaluates transcripts of incoming students in order for the counselor to better advise student as student enrolls in appropriate classes
3. Requests transcripts for all new students and responds to requests for transcripts for all former students
4. Updates student records including posting of grades and changes in biographical data
5. Prepares the senior graduation list with class rank and averages
6. Responds to requests from appropriate agencies for student related information
7. Performs routine duties related to computerized scheduling, grading and attendance of students
8. Requests, prepares, maintains, and sends all reports and records for all students enrolling and/or withdrawing
9. Prepares the annual computerized big sheet report generated at the end of each school year 10. Performs other required duties, as pertains to normal and usual registrar activities
Duty Days: 240
Salary Range:
According to Madison County Schools Salary Schedule. Actual salary will be determined by rank and experience. Current employees with questions regarding step placement on the salary schedule should contact the Personnel Department.
