*** Key Responsibilities**
* ** Compliance & Auditing:
** Conduct regular safety audits and inspections across both plants to ensure 100% compliance with OSHA, EPA, and Alabama state regulations.
* ** Hazard Mitigation:
** Identify and remediate hazards specific to store fixture manufacturing, including machine guarding for wood/metal saws, proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) during maintenance, and ventilation for finishing/painting areas.
* ** Training & Engagement:
** Develop and deliver safety training programs, including new-hire orientation, forklift certification, and periodic "toolbox talks" on ergonomics and proper lifting.
* ** Incident Management:
** Lead root-cause investigations for all accidents or near-misses and implement permanent corrective actions.
* ** Recordkeeping:
** Maintain all required documentation, including OSHA 300 logs, safety data sheets (SDS), and equipment maintenance records.
* ** Safety KPI Management:
** Track leading and lagging indicators to evaluate data and set improvement goals.
* ** Safety Committee Leadership:
** Establish and facilitate active safety committees at both locations to empower employees to participate in safety improvements.
** Required Qualifications**
* *
* Education:

** Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
* *
* Experience:

** 5+ years of safety management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in furniture or fixture production.
* *
* Certifications:

** Professional certification such as
** Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
** or
** Associate Safety Professional (ASP)
** is highly preferred.
* *
* Skills:

** Deep technical knowledge of OSHA 1910 standards, strong analytical problem-solving abilities, and excellent verbal/written communication skills.
* ** Travel:
** Ability to travel regularly between the two Alabama facility locations.
** Physical Requirements
*** Must be able to walk and stand on manufacturing floors for extended periods.
