They are seeking a skilled and driven Process Engineer or Process Technician with experience in electrical or process engineering within an electronics production environment.
Position Summary:
The Process Engineer / Technician will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, supporting new product introductions, troubleshooting production issues, and driving continuous improvement in an electronics manufacturing setting. This role requires a hands-on problem solver with a strong understanding of electronic components, SMT processes, and process validation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods and processes in electronics production.
- Provide technical support to production teams including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with design and quality engineering to support product development and process validation.
- Implement and document process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Monitor and adjust electrical and mechanical process parameters for consistency and performance.
- Support maintenance of equipment used in SMT, PCB assembly, testing, and other electronic fabrication areas.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and company quality objectives.
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in process engineering or as a process technician in electronics manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with SMT equipment, PCB assembly, reflow soldering, and automated inspection tools.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root cause analysis skills.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
- Proficiency in using engineering tools, schematics, and diagnostic instruments.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
