Distribution Design Consultant

Overview

Ameren Missouri provides electric and gas service, serving 1.2 million electric and 132,000 natural gas customers in central and eastern Missouri. The Distribution Design Consultant is primarily responsible for technical design, estimating, and system improvements related to construction on utility distribution lines.

• Obtain all required customer approvals, easements, and rights-of-way to prepare contracts, permits, releases, plats, and records.
• Conduct field inspections and prepare material and labor estimates plus all plats and drawings for proposed construction, rehabilitation, relocation, or maintenance of company-owned facilities.
• Design all jobs in accordance with Company standards.
• Identify opportunities to implement Company marketing programs by maintaining a partnership with marketing functions.
• Accept and handle special requests as assigned.

• Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant discipline (e.g., Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, etc.) and 5 years of directly relevant experience are required.
• Directly relevant experience includes utility distribution line design or construction, GIS mapping, cost estimation or control, surveying, engineering or design experience, construction, construction inspection, project management, etc.
• Good decision-making, communication, and human relations skills.
• Knowledge of electric and/or gas standards, procedures and distribution systems preferred.
• Basic mechanical skills.

• Ameren’s selection process includes a series of interviews and may include a leadership assessment process. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates.
• Subject to emergency call-out and duty supervisor responsibilities. Considerable walking over rough terrain.
• Compensation Range: $74,800.00 - $. Base salary is one component of a broader compensation package; pay ranges accommodate varied skills and expertise.
• Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
