Role DescriptionThe Radar Systems Engineer will design, analyze, and integrate radar systems and subsystems for aerospace applications in a full-time, on-site role based in Huntsville, AL. Daily responsibilities include developing system architectures, defining and managing technical requirements, and performing trade studies to optimize radar performance. The role involves applying digital signal processing techniques to radar data, collaborating with electrical and software engineers, and supporting prototype development, testing, and validation.
The engineer will document system designs, participate in design reviews, and troubleshoot issues that arise during integration and field testing. This position also includes close collaboration with cross‑functional teams to refine system concepts, improve reliability, and ensure that solutions meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Strong Systems Engineering background, including Systems Design and Requirements Management skills.
- Familiarity with CAMEO and SysML.
- End‑to‑end subsystem architecture and verification.
- Solid foundation in RF sensors.
- Experience with modeling, simulation, and analysis tools (i.e., MATLAB, Simulink, C++).
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Ability to work on‑site in Huntsville, AL, collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams, and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Familiarity with industry standards, verification and validation processes, and structured testing methodologies is a plus.
- Must be willing to work on-site in Huntsville (no relocation available).
- 5 to 15 years of experience (3 years with Masters or PhD).
