Job Description
At Regions, the Relationship Banker – Team Lead is responsible for meeting with customers and prospects to determine their financial needs, and meeting those needs by offering appropriate products, services, and guidance to achieve their financial goals. The Relationship Banker – Team Lead also coaches a team of bankers and oversees branch activities in the Branch Manager’s absence. This role offers opportunities for growth, development, and upward mobility for candidates with retail or sales experience.

Primary Responsibilities- Partners with the Branch Manager to guide and direct all branch activities.
- Achieves branch targets by identifying customer needs and offering Regions’ solutions.
- Conducts outbound calls using lead lists to expand relationships and acquire new customers.
- Collaborates with branch leadership on new business development opportunities and fosters financial wellness in the local community.
- Provides coaching to junior bankers to strengthen product knowledge and identify customer needs.
- Educates customers on Regions’ Consumer and Business products and services, including loan and deposit types.
- Educates customers on digital solutions such as mobile, online, and ATM services.
- Delivers a consistent optimal customer experience, including greeting customers and processing transactions as needed.
- Oversees branch operational and compliance tasks, ensuring teams understand procedural changes.
- Resolves escalated issues, particularly in the Branch Manager’s absence, including scheduling and coaching staff.
- Refers customers to internal experts when additional goals and needs are identified.
- Follows bank processes and regulations; manages and reports operational risks as part of the branch team.
This position requires tracking time for hours worked over 40 per week and is eligible for overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
This position is incentive eligible.
This position requires registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS). See the registry at the National Mortgage Licensing System for more information.
Requirements- High School Diploma or GED
- Two (2) years of banking, sales, and/or customer service experience
- Ability to work Saturdays as needed
- Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions
- Ability to communicate in person, on the phone, and through electronic channels
- Ability to use a computer regularly, including typing and sustained attention to a monitor
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds
- Bachelor’s degree
- Supervisory/management experience
- Ability to adhere to policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Ability to assist customers with digital banking offerings
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent relationship-building skills
- Strong communication and customer focus
- Strong leadership skills

The Job Range Target information is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for the position location and level.
Job Range Target: Minimum: $47,400.67 USD;
Median: $58,786.00 USD
Incentive Pay Plans: Eligible to participate in a commission incentive plan based on performance against defined metrics and goals.
