Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Speech and Language Pathologists (SLP) - Inpatient, Outpatient for a 13-week travel assignment i n Marshall, MI .

** CANDIDATE MUST BE ABLE TO HIT THE GROUND RUNNING AND WORK INDEPENDENTLY!
This position will be responsible for inpatient services such as bedside swallow studies, diet recommendations, and monitoring and outpatient in addition to outpatient speech therapy evaluation/intervention for the adult population
Key Responsibilities:
- Under general supervision is responsible for providing speech, language and dysphagia services to patients which includes; evaluations, planning individual patient care programs, treatments, and home programs.
- Diagnosing and treating speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders
- Evaluating swallowing ability and prescribing an appropriate diet (foods may need to be pureed or liquids may need to be thickened)
- Helping patients with aphasia find ways to communicate
- Training family members or caregivers, as well as other professionals
- Collaborating with other members of the care team
- Conducting research to develop new treatment methods
Compensation:
- Weekly Pay (hourly) + Non-taxed Stipend (if eligible)
- Pay package details provided upon offer
- Must have at least 2+ years pediatric SLP experience
- Must have Pediatric experience
- Must have Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology
- VFSS experience required
- Must be willing to work in INPATIENT and OUTPATIENT Units
- Must have Active CCC/Certificate of Clinical Competency
- Traveler's perm address must be included in profile
- New grads will not be considered
- Traveler must have their own vehicle for this assignment
- Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification during employment
- Effective team skills including interaction, support, and respect are required.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills , professionalism, and reliability
- Ability to learn and apply basic computer skills including locating and opening documents, completing forms, opening and sending e-mail messages.
