Schedule:

Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

American Health Imaging is actively searching for a Patient Service Representative Supervisor to join our team in Huntsville and Madison, Alabama - must be willing to travel between Huntsville & Madison centers as business operations require.

The Patient Service Representative Supervisor is responsible for creating and maintaining a positive, welcoming environment for all patients, families, and visitors while performing the requested duties. These duties will include interviewing patients and/or families to obtain all demographic and financial information, scheduling and confirming patient appointments, verifying patient insurance, explaining financial responsibility to patient or patient representative, and collecting same-day payments.

Responsibilities:
  • Manages the training and onboarding of new team members
  • Participates in the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring process
  • Leads regular staff meetings and associate one-on-ones
  • Monitors and approves timecards
  • Initiates and participates in staff performance evaluations and ongoing development of team members including performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions and/or terminations when necessary
  • Defines job responsibilities/specialty tasks and priorities
  • Develops and monitors the teams' performance through a QA process
  • Establishes employee schedules to provide for planned time off, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and adequate department coverage (5%)
  • Completes other tasks and projects as assigned
Requirements:
  • 1-4 Years Experience in Medical Office/Hospital/Healthcare Setting
  • Experience in Authorizations and Insurance Verification Preferred
  • Ability to Handle Heavy Patient Volume
  • Strong Customer Service and Computer Skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Medical Terminology Knowledge
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent customer service skills
