Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for an AUTOMOTIVE PAINTING ASSISTANT in Madison, AL
. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Automotive Painting Assistant to support our Client in delivering high-quality finishes on vehicles. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in automotive refinishing and bodywork. You ll assist in prepping vehicles, mixing paint, masking, sanding, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

• Assist with preparation of vehicles for paint (sanding, masking, taping, cleaning)
• Mix paint according to formulas under direction of lead painter
• Support the application of primer, basecoat, and clearcoat finishes
• Maintain paint booths, tools, and equipment in clean and working order
• Mask and unmask vehicles with attention to detail
• Follow all safety procedures, especially regarding ventilation and chemical handling
• Perform minor touch-ups and post-paint inspections
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion

• Will be wearing respiratory equipment
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in an auto body or painting environment is a plus
• Basic knowledge of sanding, masking, and paint mixing processes
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
