Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for Auto Interior/Exterior Assembly in Madison, AL
. Our Client is responsible for constructing and assembling the body and components of commercial vehicles according to specific designs and quality standards. This role requires hands‑on skills using many different types of power tools (both electrical and air powered). This person should also have his/her own hand tools to work with. The candidate should have some experience doing work related to carpentry tasks such as trim work, using a tape measure proficiently and being familiar with drill bits.

Previous experience in mechanical assembly, metal cutting, drilling, or mounting is helpful. The candidate will use different types of tools and perform a variety of tasks to accomplish the exterior/interior assembly of commercial vehicles (installing doors, lights, etc.). The company will furnish the electrical and air powered tools.

• D/A sanders
• Cut‑off tools
• Hand drills and drivers

• Standard wrenches 3/8" to ¾"
• Standard screw drivers, both flat‑head and phillips‑head #6-#8
• Standard socket set ¼" drive
• Standard socket set 3/8" drive
• Needle nose pliers
• Channel locks
• Tape measure
• Side Cutters

• Previous work in an automotive manufacturing environment is helpful.
• Must be able to accurately read and understand a tape measure and engineering drawings.
• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Must be able to follow instructions, have a good attitude and strong work ethic.
• Must have good attendance and a stable work history.
• Must be able to work occasional overtime as required.

Typical automotive manufacturing shop environment (hot/cold/dusty).

This position involves manual labor using assigned tools. This job requires the individual to reach, stand, kneel, bend, stoop and twist to accomplish the assembly of emergency vehicles. Individual will perform a variety of tasks and will be in various positions throughout the workday.
