Position: PAINT & BLAST GENERAL FOREMAN

Summary:

Provides leadership and coordination for multiple Foremen and crews in the paint & blast department. Ensures work is performed safely, efficiently, and in line with production schedules and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of multiple Foremen and crews to meet production schedules and job milestones
  • Work closely with the Superintendent to plan and execute workload across multiple work areas
  • Ensure safety standards are followed and promote a strong safety culture
  • Monitor job progress, manpower, and productivity and adjust as needed
  • Communicate daily with production leadership on job status and priorities
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and support to Foremen
  • Identify manpower needs and skill gaps
  • Resolve operational issues that impact schedules or performance
  • Maintain field presence to oversee work and provide direction to crews
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in marine and/or industrial blasting and painting
  • Prior leadership experience as a Foreman or similar supervisory role required
  • Strong knowledge of paint and blast processes, equipment, and safety standards
  • Ability to read and interpret job specifications, drawings, and production schedules
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
