Monday thru Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm

3:00pm to 11:30pm

• Match industrial coating colors over metal substrates.
• Match color and gloss to customer requested samples.
• Work with Scientist to ensure color match meets expected performance.
• Create and properly label standards.
• Create and properly label customer samples.
• Measure, weigh, and mix colorants to match samples.
• Obtain raw materials and supplies from the production area.
• Use spectrophotometers and lab equipment to produce color chips validated against expected color standards.
• Adjust formulations to fix color discrepancies and meet specifications.
• Maintain accurate, detailed records of formulations and adjustments.
• Calibrate and clean spectrophotometers and lab equipment.
• Use metal shear to cut substrate and samples.
• Train on 1st shift and after training will move to 2nd shift (3:00pm to 11:30pm).

• Measure, weigh, and mix colorants to match samples.
• Obtains raw materials and supplies from the production area.
• Safety: understands and follows Axalta / Dura Coat Products safety policies.
• Quality Control: uses spectrophotometers and lab equipment to produce color chips validated against expected color standards.
• Technical Adjustment: adjusts formulations to fix color discrepancies and meet specifications.
• Documentation: maintains accurate, detailed records of formulations and adjustments.
• Equipment Maintenance: calibrates and cleans spectrophotometers and lab equipment.
• Panel Preparation: uses metal shear to cut substrate and samples.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Math and problem‑solving skills; mechanical, numerical, and verbal aptitude to learn jobs quickly.
• Ability to be licensed to operate fork trucks.
• Demonstrated collaboration skills and ability to work within a self‑managed team environment.
• Ability to read and follow weight fractions of ounces and measure accurately by gallons, pints, and ounces.
• Nice to have: chemical plant/paint experience, basic computer skills, prior lab or chemical experience.
