Structures Assembler; A220

Position

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Structures Assembler to join their team based in Mobile, AL.

Temporary (contract) position with an approximate 6 month time period, subject to extension or shortening.

• Prepare components for assembly (metallic and composite, including hybrid stacks).
• Verify that components to be assembled match drawings and work orders.
• Load required serial components into the system.
• Operate drilling tools and machines, ensuring structural continuity.
• Fasten parts and apply surface protections such as sealant and alodine.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Aviation Production or equivalent.
• Hands‑on experience with drilling tools, templates, drilling machines, fasteners, and torquing tools.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Preferred 5+ years of confirmed experience in Aviation Production.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in additional languages.

• Vision adequate to read material on computer screens and identify markings on calibrated tools.
• Hearing sufficient for conversation and safety alerts.
• Speaking ability for in‑person and electronic communication.
• Ability to operate hydraulic lifts, arms, and other equipment.
• Occasional carrying of up to 20 lbs.; lifting of up to 30 lbs.
• Capability to enter confined spaces and work at heights up to 40 feet.
• Standing, sitting, squatting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and walking for required durations.
• May require overseas and domestic travel on short notice.
