Must train on 1st shift 7:30am – 3:30pm
$22-24 per hour + $1 shift differential

Position SummaryThe Group Leader supports daily production operations by helping team members work safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards. This role is responsible for removing production obstacles, supporting continuous improvement efforts, coaching employees, and ensuring daily goals are met for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Key Responsibilities:Production & Continuous Improvement
Support daily production and quickly address issues that impact productivity.
Identify and remove barriers that prevent operators from completing their work effectively.
Escalate production, quality, and equipment concerns when needed.
Assist with problem-solving and root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues.
Promote continuous improvement and waste reduction initiatives.
Monitor and audit standard work practices to ensure compliance.
Maintain and update department performance boards and visual management tools.
Support workplace organization using Lean and 5S principles.
Complete daily assignments based on production priorities.
Be available to work overtime when business needs require it.
Lead daily team meetings focused on safety, quality, delivery, and performance goals.
Coordinate staffing needs, including vacation coverage and attendance issues.
Support employee training, cross-training, and skill development.
Coach and mentor team members to improve performance and engagement.
Promote company values and maintain a positive workplace culture.
Communicate clearly and effectively with employees and leadership.
Build trust through fairness, professionalism, and respect.
Help ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
Assist with onboarding and training new team members.
Remain flexible and support additional responsibilities as needed.
Previous manufacturing, production, or team leadership experience preferred.
Understanding of manufacturing processes and lean principles.
Ability to solve problems, make decisions, and prioritize multiple tasks.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Experience using computer systems such as Microsoft Office, timekeeping systems, and inventory/barcode systems.
Ability to follow and coach employees on Visual Work Instructions (VWI).
Ability to respond effectively to quality and production issues.
Lift up to 40 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds.
Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, squatting, and overhead reaching.
Ability to use power tools, air tools, and hand tools.
Stand and walk throughout the entire shift.
Ability to perform physical job duties for up to 12 hours per day.
