Plant Manager – Steel Warehouse Manufacturing Facility
Are you an operations leader who thrives in a fast-paced, industrial environment?
We’re hiring a Plant Manager to oversee our Steel Warehouse manufacturing facility, with a strong focus on pickling and slitting processes.
You’ll be responsible for driving production efficiency, ensuring quality standards, maintaining safety compliance, and leading a team that delivers excellence on every coil that leaves our floor.
What You’ll DoLead and motivate production, operations, and maintenance teams.
Optimize processes to improve throughput and minimize downtime.
Manage resource allocation—labor, materials, and equipment—to meet production goals.
Oversee quality control to ensure every steel product meets specifications.
Coordinate with logistics, purchasing, and warehouse teams for smooth operations.
Uphold OSHA and environmental safety standards across all processes.
Track KPIs—yield, scrap, downtime, and output—and provide performance insights.
Manage vendor relationships to ensure reliable service and cost control.
Lead improvement projects, from automation to equipment upgrades.
What You Bring- 5+ years of experience in steel or manufacturing operations, ideally with pickling line exposure.
- Strong technical knowledge of steel processing, acid pickling, and coil handling.
- Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or plant setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, OSHA, and environmental compliance standards.
- Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Must be able to deal with customers and resolve issues that come up.
- Must be able to oversee office staff and use other SW resources to make sure production and inventory records are correct.
