Role Description The Family Nurse Practitioner or physician assistant will provide part-time potential to turn into fullrime on-site patient care at Vital Sleep Care in Madison, AL. This role includes conducting comprehensive assessments, obtaining medical histories, performing physical exams, and ordering diagnostic tests related to sleep health and associated conditions. The practitioner will develop and manage treatment plans, prescribe appropriate therapies or medications, and provide ongoing follow-up care and education to patients and families.
Day-to-day responsibilities also involve collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, documenting care in the medical record, and supporting sleep health education initiatives within the practice. The role requires a strong focus on patient safety, evidence-based practice, and compassionate, culturally competent care.
Qualifications
- Clinical practice skills in Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant roles for at least two years.
- Experience providing Primary Care services, with the ability to manage common chronic and acute conditions.
- Solid foundation in Medicine related to sleep disorders, internal medicine, and preventative care.
- Active and unrestricted medical board license in the state of Alabama;
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Prior experience in sleep medicine, pulmonary, or primary care settings is highly beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient education skills, with commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory care.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and maintain accurate, timely documentation in electronic health records.
