Summary
The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Division of State-Operated Specialty Care, Bureau of Woodward Resource Center (WRC) is seeking a Storekeeper 2 to join our team! This is a full-time position with a Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. schedule and opportunity for advancement, growth, and development.
As a Storekeeper 2, you'll play a pivotal role in our Nutrition and Supply Services Department. If you're passionate about making a difference and ready to take on a rewarding position, this could be the perfect job for you!
What You’ll DoAs part of the WRC team, you'll play a crucial role in our mission by working in our Supply Depot to receive, store, and issue facility supplies and material including perishable items.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Assemble and deliver orders, including frozen and non-frozen perishable items, for internal customers.
- Receive and stock goods, including frozen and non-frozen perishable items, ensure products are in good condition, and follow procedures if damaged products are received.
- Store goods in designated areas utilizing a forklift or pallet jack.
- Participate in physical inventory counts and maintaining Supply Depot records.
- Maintain the physical plant of the Supply Depot, including monitoring refrigerator and freezer temperatures, cleaning of building and grounds, and maintaining building security.
- Complete assigned training and other duties as assigned.
Successful candidates for this position will demonstrate the following competencies:
- Independently assess workload, perform mathematical calculations, place and maintain accurate and timely orders.
- Repeatedly lift, push, or pull heavy objects in hot, cold, or humid environments while bending and/or working above shoulders.
