Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Quality Engineer3's for a contract opportunity in Madison, AL.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):- Bachelor's degree in a STEM, technical, or related discipline with relevant quality experience (per standard level 3 criteria), or equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of degree, as permitted by company guidelines.
- 5+ years of hands-on quality inspection experience within a manufacturing, aerospace, or defense environment.
- Strong familiarity with AS9102 aerospace first article inspection requirements.
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) symbols.
- Expert use of standard mechanical measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gages, indicators).
- Familiarity with SAP for production or quality-related transactions.
- Familiarity with Net-Inspect for FAI and/or quality records.
- At least 3 years of experience working on defense contracts (DoD or similar).
Looking for an Engineer Quality 3 to support our IBCS Quality department. Responsibilities:
Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished product. Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment;
conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of, and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements. May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.
May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical or quality discipline.
- Professional certifications in quality, such as CQI (Certified Quality Inspector), CWI (Certified Welding Inspector), or similar ASQ/AWS credentials.
- Experience auditing or maintaining quality management systems to AS9100 or equivalent aerospace/defense standards.
- Demonstrated experience using statistical techniques and tools to analyze quality data and drive corrective/preventive actions.
- Experience supporting cross-functional teams in a manufacturing or production environment.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in a STEM, technical, or related discipline. School must be accredited.
WORK HOURS:9/80 workweek. This position will serve on-site at Madison, AL.
