Overview

Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/Cart Attendant) rting hourly rate: $15.50 USD per hour.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks.
  • Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs when assistance is required.
  • Inform guests about current promotions, store activities and events.
  • Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to resolve issues and improve the guest experience.
  • Thank guests and let them know you’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
  • Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up as needed.
  • Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices.
  • Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
  • Explain features and offerings within the Target App, including Wallet; direct guests to enroll, activate and use these features for Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering.
  • Assist with returns following register prompts; partner with Leaders as needed while following Target policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area by managing unpurchased items, baskets, and hangers.
  • Stock supplies during store hours and remain available for the guest.
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
  • Support guest services such as Order Pick Up (OPU), Drive-Up (DU) orders and DU returns while complying with applicable laws and store policies.
  • All other duties based on business needs.

  • Willingness to educate guests and engage around products and services.
  • Ability to operate multiple devices, handheld scanners, and other technology as directed.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to stay focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks within established time frames.
Additional Basics
  • Accurately handle checkout operations, transactions, and support cash office operations as needed.
  • Scan, handle, and move merchandise safely; lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally (with or without assistance).
  • Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance required.
  • Ability to stay mobile for the duration of a shift; shift length may vary.
  • Capable of working in varying temperatures and conditions, including Drive-Up and carryout duties.
