Job Description

Entry‑level position in a DIY auto parts retail environment. The role focuses on sales, customer service, and basic automotive service support. Flexibility for part‑time or full‑time schedules is allowed, and fleet safety certification is preferred.

Primary responsibilities include providing an excellent sales experience for in‑store customers and phone inquiries, achieving personal sales targets while helping the store meet its overall goals, performing DIY services such as battery installation, tire and wiper blade installations, and testing, maintaining store product and operational standards, and managing inventory processes including truck put‑away, cycle counts, and back‑stock management.

• Ensure store cleanliness (floors, bathrooms, aisles, dusting, parking lot)
• General stocking tasks such as truck stocking and back‑stock organization
• Safely deliver parts to customers as needed

• Basic driving and navigation ability
• Proficiency with delivery board systems and inventory software
• Strong customer communication skills
• Ability to locate, stock, and test parts using diagnostic equipment
• Safety awareness and adherence to procedures

• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus)
• Read and interpret safety and operational documents
• Use basic math accurately
• Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

• 2‑3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment

Support commercial customers by delivering parts, managing inventory, and performing routine store tasks. Needs to be fleet safety certified and able to work part‑time or full‑time.

• Safely deliver parts to customers on requests
• Pick and stage parts for customer orders
• Process returns and core inventory
• Drop off periodic sales flyers
• Collect daily credit payments

• Maintain store cleanliness (floors, bathrooms, aisles, dusting, parking lot)
• General stocking of truck and back‑stock

• Basic driving and navigation ability
• Proficiency with delivery board and inventory systems
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Safety knowledge and operational competency

• Effective communication with customers, peers, and management
• Read and interpret safety and operational documents
• Accurate basic math
• Ability to work flexible hours as required

• Automotive parts experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license and fleet safety certification required

Predominantly walking or standing. Requires lifting up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs occasionally. Must be able to reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. Vision requires close, distance, color, and depth perception with focus adjustment.

Work mainly indoors; occasional outdoor exposure to weather. Susceptible to moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, chemicals, electrical shock risk, high noise level, and vibration. Employee may be exposed to toxins or caustic chemicals.
