Position Summary

WM Supercenter #2690, 8650 Madison Blvd, Madison, AL .

• Drive sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, and optimal inventory levels.
• Prepare sales budgets, forecast sales, and assess economic trends and community needs.
• Model and enforce Walmart values by providing guidance to Associates on customer service approaches and techniques, resolving complaints within company guidelines.
• Oversee the implementation of community outreach programs and encourage Associates to serve as community ambassadors.
• Ensure compliance with company and legal policies, including safety, asset protection, and quality assurance reviews.
• Develop action plans to improve performance and provide direction on executing company programs and initiatives.
• Supervise and develop Associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, recognizing achievements, and fostering a culture of belonging.
• Provide quality eyewear services by consulting with members, selecting products, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, and performing minor frame repairs.
• Uphold the Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, listening to concerns, and suggesting resolutions on policies and procedures.
• Coordinate job‑related activities and assignments by developing relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans to meet customer and business needs, and measuring progress toward goals.
• Promote a high‑performing team culture, embrace diversity, and create an environment where associates feel seen, supported, and connected.
• Model integrity by maintaining high standards of ethics, supporting Walmart’s commitment to sustainability, and creating a sense of belonging among associates, customers, and communities.
• Deliver results with a customer‑first mindset, applying Walmart’s EDLP and EDLC business models and making data‑based decisions balancing short‑ and long‑term priorities.

• Completion of 2 or more years of college, or
  • 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience, or
  • 2 years of general work experience including 1 year of optical experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and rules.

• Experience supervising associates.
