Job Title: Assistant Manager – Operations

Pay: Hourly: $14.25

Responsible for assisting the Store Manager with overall store operations, administrative duties, and ensuring the store meets its goals. Provides leadership in the Store Manager’s absence and supports sales, merchandising, inventory management, and staff development.

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling assets and financial procedures, inventory management, sales statistics, and profitability.
• Consult with the Store Manager to develop action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Supervise and train staff, assign tasks, resolve problems, and maintain store performance standards.
• Deliver extraordinary customer service, assist multiple customers during busy periods, and promote merchandise and services.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures (operations policy, personnel policy, visual manual, customer‑service manual, memos).
• Protect company assets and report potential fraud risks to management.

• Act as the de‑facto Store Manager when the Manager is absent.
• Conduct interviews, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.

• 1–3 years of retail customer‑service experience, preferably in footwear or athletic apparel.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage a team while achieving sales and profitability goals.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Self‑starter with initiative and attention to detail.
• Team‑player committed to outstanding customer experience.
