About the Role
ADP is hiring a Sales Representative, Small Business Services. In this role you will work within a defined geographic territory that targets clients and prospects with 1–49 employees. You will identify and sign new clients for payroll, tax, human resources, benefits, and more, and sell additional solutions to existing clients. Daily you will cultivate relationships, set appointments, gather leads from established business partners, assess customer needs and present the best ADP solutions, and spend your time in the field closing business.
No prior sales experience is required; ADP provides high‑quality training and technology to set you up for success.
- Grow our business while growing yours by working independently and collaboratively to close sales, win business, and reach sales goals.
- Turn prospects into loyal clients and raving fans by implementing a sales strategy targeted to decision‑makers and business owners.
- Deepen relationships across the ADP family by cultivating additional business within existing accounts.
- Collaborate daily as a trusted advisor, partner, and ADP ambassador to clients, internal partners, and the overall network while demonstrating grace under pressure and the highest ethical standards.
- Positive self‑starter: upbeat, persistent style, able to cold call, manage time and present ideas clearly in various settings.
- Agile solution seeker: problem solver who can find answers or solutions in fast‑paced change.
- Continuous learner: always learning, growing, and questioning past practices to improve.
- College degree desirable but not required. One to two years of relevant experience in retail, marketing, business development, food service, insurance sales, or other applicable industries. Military experience is also valued.

- Prior quota‑carrying experience.
- Ability to build a network and effectively use social media for sales.
