Part Time Security Officer at the Toyota Manufacturing Plant — $17.50 p/hr

Part Time Hours - Must Be FULLY Flexible and able to work any hours NO EXCEPTIONS. This is a Part Time position. Weekend and holiday availability is required. Hiring for multiple sites — full-time, part-time, and all shifts. There is the ability to obtain up to 30 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in security or customer service fields.

What You'll Do

• Rover — Vehicle/foot patrols; deter theft, vandalism, and suspicious activity
• Gatehouse — Access control; greet and /guests, log vehicles, announce visitors
• Front Desk — Customer service, access control, CCTV monitoring, package distribution, visitor announcements

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge and greet all residents and guests in a prompt and courteous manner
• Manage all guest/visitor access as needed and eject trespassers or violators from premises when deemed necessary
• Verify credentials of incoming and outgoing individuals/vehicles
• Document and maintain a log of visitors and notify residents of visitor’s arrival
• Assist in protecting others and equipment while enforcing policies and procedures
• Monitor and/or detect any suspicious behavior to assist in the prevention of vandalism, theft and/or other criminal behavior
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms
• Patrol the perimeter (interior/exterior) to identify potential safety and security risks
• Warn violators of infractions e.g., loitering, smoking and/or possession of prohibited items
• Respond to calls of distress, alarms and/or emergencies such as fire, injuries or presence of unauthorized individuals by contacting local first responders
• Identify and report any and all concerns (safety, security breaches, unusual circumstances) in a timely manner
• Ensure accuracy and timely submission of required documentation (reports/documents)
• Ensure all rules/regulations are being enforced and followed
• Other duties to be determined by management

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older
• High school degree or equivalent
• Valid state licensing
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Basic computer skills
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience
• Minimum of one year of security experience
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug)
• This position will require occasional crawling, crouching, climbing of stairs, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, stooping and walking for extended periods of time
