Auto Mechanic / Technician – $18/hr plus over time
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Position SummaryWe are seeking an Auto HVAC Technician (Auto Mechanic) for our client located close to Huntsville, AL. In this role, you will install and service aftermarket automotive air conditioning systems on emergency vehicles and medium-duty trucks. This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work in an active shop environment. ResponsibilitiesInstall aftermarket automotive air conditioning systems
Perform reconditioning, pull vacuums, charge, troubleshoot, and repair units
Wire, test, and ensure systems are operating correctly
Use standard mechanic’s tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, socket sets, pliers, tape measure, etc.)
Work with refrigerants (R-12, R-134A, R-22)
ASE Certification preferred (T7); experience with medium-duty trucks a plus
Previous hands-on automotive AC/HVAC repair experience
Ability to follow instructions, multitask, and meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail, good attendance, and stable work history
Must pass background & drug screen
HS Diploma or GED preferred
Closed-toe shoes required
Shift: 1st Shift – Monday–Thursday 7:30 AM–4:30 PM, Fridays 7:30 AM–2:00 PM
Weekly overtime: 5:00 AM start times
Saturday overtime: 7:30 AM–12:00 PM
Pay: $18/hr plus overtime ( if you work 160 hours in a month)
