Job Overview

Primoris Services Corporation is seeking a Wireman Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position involves learning and assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring and systems under the direct supervision of experienced electricians. The ideal candidate is eager to learn a skilled trade and committed to safety and quality workmanship.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist experienced electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, circuits, and equipment.
  • Learn to interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems.
  • Measure, cut, bend, thread, and install conduit and wire as directed.
  • Pull wire and cable through conduits and other structures.
  • Assist with the connection of wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components.
  • Learn to test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices.
  • Help troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and make repairs under supervision.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure tools and equipment are properly stored.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Attend and actively participate in all required training and educational programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the electrical team.
Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Enrollment in or completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship program is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of electrical principles and safety procedures preferred.
  • Ability to learn and apply electrical codes and regulations.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Commitment to safety and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must be able to pass a pre‑employment drug screen and background check.
