HVAC Start Up Technician - Huntsville, Al

Description

As the AC Start Up & Warranty Technician, you will work with customers to ensure they receive all appropriate warranty and product service options, including final stage checks, corrections, warranty handling, and scheduled calls.

• Troubleshoot single and triple‑phase installations.
• Verify that heating and cooling equipment is installed correctly and confirm proper operation of cooling and heating systems (e.g., drain lines, coils).
• Diagnose and correct malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment and hand tools.
• Assess customer needs and offer appropriate products and services.
• Create and maintain a database of retail, new‑construction, and product‑registration leads.
• Provide feedback on competition and marketplace positioning.
• Build strong relationships with vendor partners to stay current on industry information.
• Handle product registration for retail and commercial new‑construction installations.

• High‑school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year of residential field experience.
• Two years of experience in start‑up, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting diverse HVAC service issues.
• Experience with retrofit and new‑construction HVAC installations.
• EPA certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean motor‑vehicle record.
• Pass a drug screen.
• Reliable HVAC tools.

• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
• Ability to access and exit attics.
