CATIONS

  • Valid license to drive a school bus.
  • Such additional health and age requirements as the Board may require.
  • Participate in Bus Driver Safety
Report To

Transportation Supervisor

Job Goals

To provide safe and efficient transportation so that students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the district's curriculum and extracurricular program.

Performance Responsibilities
  • Obey all traffic laws.
  • Observes all mandatory safety regulations for school
  • Maintains discipline when students are on the bus.
  • Reports undisciplined students to the proper authority.
  • Keeps assigned bus
  • Keeps to assigned
  • Checks bus before each operation for mechanical
  • Notifies the proper authority in case of mechanical failure or lateness
  • Release students only at authorized stops.
  • Exercises responsible leadership when on out-of-district school
  • Transports only authorized students from the Sumter County school district.
  • Report all accidents and complete required reports.
  • Enforce all district discipline policies and procedures.
    • TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

    Nine month basis. Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

    EVALUATION

    Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Nonprofessional Personnel.
