Middle School Religion Teacher (Grades 6-8)

Our Lady of Mercy Preparatory Academy (OLM Prep)

Our Lady of Mercy Preparatory Academy is seeking an experienced, faith-filled, and engaging Middle School Religion Teacher for Grades 6-8. OLM Prep is NEASC accredited Catholic independent school committed to academic excellence, faith formation, character development, and fostering a joyful and supportive learning environment.

This position offers an opportunity to teach in a school where relationships matter, class sizes are intentionally small, and the focus remains on educating the whole child-mind, body, and spirit.

Responsibilities:

* Teach Religion to students in Grades 6-8

* Foster students' understanding of Catholic teachings, Scripture, prayer, and moral development

* Prepare and engage students in school liturgies, prayer services, and faith-based activities

* Create a classroom environment that reflects the values of the Gospel

* Collaborate with faculty and administration to support the mission of the school

* Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues

Qualifications:

* Teaching experience required

* Strong classroom management skills are essential

* Ability to build meaningful relationships while maintaining high expectations

* Knowledge of Catholic teachings and traditions

* Bachelor's degree and teaching certification required

* Catholic school experience preferred
