Madison Public Schools is seeking qualified applicants for the  school year for the position of Building-Based Substitute. If you are a friendly and competent professional with an interest in education, we welcome you to apply.

Building Based Substitute Teacher

Daniel Hand High School (Grades 9-12)

Responsibilities:

  • Lead classroom in the absence of a regular teacher.
  • Follow and teach lesson plans, aid students with understanding subject matter.
  • Maintain a positive, safe and productive learning environment.

Requirements: Bachelor's Degree

Work Schedule: 7.25 hours per day / 188 days per year (student school year plus up to 6 professional development days)

Salary: $140/day or $155/day with an active CT teacher certification
