Welding Works is a custom metal fabrication business located in Madison, CT.

• First shift - full-time - 7:00am to 3:30pm.

• MUST HAVE real-time experience in fabrication and some welding. Three (3) years or more.
• Ability to read blueprints, understand layouts, and the means of manufacture.
• Proficient in set-up and operations of most fabrication equipment:
  Shears, Press Brake, Angle Rolls, Plate Rolls, Iron Worker, and Saws.
• Strong understanding of Plasma Cutting, Oxy-Acetylene Torch Cutting, and carbon-Arc gouging.
• Functional knowledge of hand and power tools such as drills, grinders, and sanders in the set-up and fitting for welding or in finishing of welds.
• Functional knowledge of welding machine operation, regulating current, and voltage for the proper fusion of metals.
• Good communication skills in English.

• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Maintain work area, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
• Set up and safely operate fabrication and welding equipment.
• May work with or without fixtures with the attention to detail required in blocking, clamping, or holding parts in relative position to avoid distortion.
• Report defective materials, unusual conditions, errors, or operational difficulties to the supervisor.

• Lifting 1- 50 lbs. (Occasionally 51-100 lbs.).
• Pushing & pulling 1-50 lbs. (Occasionally 51-100 lbs.).
• Repetitive use of hands and feet required (both right & left).
