Accountant/Senior Accountant

Location:

Madison, IN, 47250 – Work Arrangement:
Onsite. Part of Dover Corporation's Engineered Systems segment, Vehicle Service Group (VSG) is a global leader in the vehicle service industry with 13 major brands. This role offers a strong opportunity with upward mobility. Pay is based on experience, degree, and position fit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the fiscal closing process, including closing journal entries and subledgers, timely and accurately, in accordance with GAAP.
  • Analyze, interpret, and report budget and actual variance and financial results.
  • Perform general accounting duties, including balance sheet reconciliations and accruals for payroll, benefits, and marketing.
  • Take ownership of assigned accounts, identify issues, and report concerns that could affect the integrity of the financial statements.
  • Participate in special projects on group-wide initiatives, process simplification, and company-specific projects.

Education & Aptitude
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2+ years of experience, preferably within manufacturing & industrial products industry.
  • Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of Power BI, One Stream, Oracle Fusion or ability to understand ERP systems quickly.
