Ivy Tech Madison is seeking student interns to support local nonprofit organizations through hands-on service and community engagement. These 8-week positions begin January 12, 2026.
General Purpose And Scope Of PositionThe Ivy Roots (Real-World Opportunities & On-the-Job Training for Students) Internship connects Ivy Tech students with local non-profit organizations to create meaningful change in our community. Through this paid experience, students contribute to projects that strengthen local services while developing professional and leadership skills.
Major ResponsibilitiesInterns will work up to 10 hours per week (maximum of 80 hours total) at their assigned site, supporting real-world initiatives that help our region grow and thrive.
This opportunity is ideal for students who are dependable, self-motivated, and take pride in representing Ivy Tech through their professionalism, initiative, and community-minded spirit.
A few general responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Assist with daily operations
- Support program activities
- Maintain records and data
- Collaborate with staff and volunteers
- Must be a current Ivy Tech student
- Must be available to work up to 10 hours per week at the designated non-profit site
- Reliability, initiative, and strong communication skills are essential
$15 per hour (up to 80 hours total)
