Job Description
This role provides commercial finance leadership and strategic support to cross-functional teams, including Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Product. The Commercial Finance Professional leads pricing and profitability analysis, manages the quote-to-launch process, and delivers robust financial planning and reporting. The position plays a key role in evaluating investments, optimizing product line performance, and presenting clear financial insights that guide data-driven decisions in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
+ Provide financial leadership and strategic support to Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Product teams to enable informed commercial and operational decisions.
+ Lead pricing, quoting, and profitability analysis for new and existing business opportunities, ensuring competitive and profitable proposals.
+ Manage the quote-to-launch process, including development of business cases, evaluation of capital investments and tooling, and ongoing program financial tracking.
+ Drive forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and capital planning activities across product lines, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
+ Perform NPV, IRR, ROI, and cash flow analyses to evaluate investments, programs, and business opportunities.
+ Analyze product line profitability, pricing strategies, and portfolio performance to identify opportunities to improve pricing, margins, and operational efficiency.
+ Develop customer pricing models and service cost estimates that support competitive bids and sustainable profitability.
+ Create and deliver financial presentations and recommendations to customers and internal stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making.
+ Monitor change requests, variance reporting, and production-to-service pricing impacts to ensure financial integrity and transparency.
+ Support order book management by providing financial analysis and reporting on orders, backlog, and revenue impacts.
+ Provide ad hoc financial analysis and insights to support commercial, operational, and strategic objectives.
+ Mentor and develop finance team members, strengthening analytical capabilities and enhancing the overall business impact of the finance function.
+ Support month-end activities, including reconciliations and reporting, to ensure accurate financial statements.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage changing priorities, resolve conflicts, and successfully execute multiple projects simultaneously.
Essential Skills
+ Strong experience in cost accounting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and financial reporting.
+ Proficiency in forecasting, budgeting, and capital planning processes.
+ Demonstrated experience in pricing, quoting, and profitability analysis for commercial opportunities.
+ Hands-on experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
+
Experience with Spreadsheet Server and Smart View or similar financial reporting and analysis tools.
+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel for financial modeling and analysis.
+ Proven ability to perform NPV, IRR, ROI, and cash flow analyses to evaluate investments and business opportunities.
+ Strong financial analysis, modeling, and reporting skills with the ability to communicate insights clearly to all levels of the organization.
+ Experience supporting month-end close activities, reconciliations, and accounts payable processes.
+ Demonstrated ability to manage quoting processes, capital planning, and cash flow analysis.
+ Effective team player with strong interpersonal and cross-functional communication abilities.
+ Self-motivated, results-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills with exceptional attention to detail.
+ Ability to manage changing priorities, resolve conflicts, and successfully execute multiple projects simultaneously.
+ Ability to successfully complete all required pre-employment assessments.
