Summary: Interviews commercial loan applicants and makes credit decisions within established guidelines. Processes loan applications, prepares appropriate documentation, maintains customer relationships, manages a portfolio of commercial loans and may coordinate some collection efforts.

• Interview loan applicants and complete loan applications
• Provide financial counseling to applicants
• Underwrite commercial credit applicants (direct, indirect and revolving)
  • obtain and review credit history (bureaus)
  • perform comprehensive tax return analysis
  • verify information
  • perfect liens
  • collateral analysis and applied values
  • loan policy exceptions to be addressed
  • determine capacity of borrowers
• Make sound and justifiable credit decisions
• Prepare counter offers and loan denials
• Prepare and present applicable loans to the monthly directors’ loan committee
• Prepare proper documents for loan closing
• Close and fund loans
• Follow-up procedures such as lien perfections, collateral inspections
• Jointly review and concur commercial loans along with the responsible loan officer on all commercial loans $100,000 to $250,000
• 100% responsible for all commercial loans in excess of $250,000
• Assist the senior loan officer and review larger aggregate borrowers on an informal basis
• Follows all employment policies and procedures

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write professional reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

• Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; and
• Five to seven years related experience and/or training; or
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Must travel as required.
• Must pass background check.
• Limited creditors insurance license
