OverviewAssist with day-to-day human resources functions, employee support, and safety compliance activities. This position helps maintain accurate personnel and training records, assists with employee inquiries, supports safety programs, and contributes to fostering a positive and compliant workplace environment. This position requires being on-site at Tank Holding’s Madison, IN plant 20-25 hours per week.
Responsibilities- Assist with maintaining HR, safety, and training records.
- Support benefit enrollments, new hire and separation documentation, FMLA, disability, and workers’ compensation processes.
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and employee orientation.
- Respond to employee questions regarding policies, procedures, benefits, payroll etc.
- Help monitor time and attendance data as needed.
- Assist in coordinating and delivering safety programs, audits, inspections, and monthly safety meetings.
- Support accident investigations, OSHA reporting, and corrective action follow-ups.
- Support the preparation and distribution of safety, training, and performance reports.
- Back up and support other functions (customer service, receptionist, operations) if needed.
- Provide general support to the leadership team as needed.

This role is a combination of both an office and plant setting. Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires standing, walking, and bending. The employee will regularly be required to lift and/or move items over 25 pounds. Ability to spend time in a plant environment with variable temperatures, noise, and moving equipment.
Education & Experience- 2–4 years of HR administration and some safety experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with HR information and talent acquisition systems preferred
Ability to handle multiple tasks, maintain confidentiality, and work in both office and plant environments.
