Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

• Provide care and support for women before, during, and after delivery of a baby.
• Ensure medical and emotional needs of patients are met throughout the birthing process.
• Assist physicians with epidural or pain medication administration, episiotomies, and preparation for cesarean delivery.
• Stay with and monitor patients throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and help patients with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor progression/lack of dilation.
• Ensure beds are kept clean and dry; clean up bodily fluids before and after birth.
• Aid physicians with drapes, gloves, gowns, delivery instruments, etc.
• Provide immediate care of newborns.

• 3 years recent acute care experience.
• ACLS, BLS, EFM, NRP, STABLE certification.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, stoop without difficulty.
• Ability to lift 20 pounds easily, and up to 50 pounds when necessary.
• Good stress coping skills and ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.
