Insurance Agent - Madison

Summary

Sells and markets insurance services and cross sells bank services.

• Services existing clientele/prospects.
• Calls on policyholders to deliver and explain policy, to suggest additions or changes in insurance program or to make changes in beneficiaries.
• Calls insurance company for insured.
• Rewrites policies for customers.
• Prospecting, calling and sales (client development and growth).
• Contacts prospective clients and explains features and merits of policies offered, recommending amount and type of coverage based on analysis of prospect's circumstances.
• Calculates and quotes premium rates for recommended policies.
• Accurately processes insurance applications and associated forms for policy issue or change processing.
• Represents company at community events.

Other duties as assigned by management.

• The ability to prioritize and make on-the-spot decisions.
• Basic knowledge of all bank products.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Ability to cross sell.
• High degree of accuracy.
• Organizational skills.
• Knowledge of various federal regulations.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One to two years experience; or
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Must travel as required.
• Must pass background check.
• Property and Casualty State License.
