Basic Job Functions- Plan and monitor inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Negotiate and secure competitive transportation rates with carriers and service providers.
- Coordinate logistics activities with vendors, suppliers, and transport companies.
- Ensure effective collaboration between warehouse, transportation, and customer service teams to meet operational commitments.
- Schedule and oversee transportation providers to guarantee prompt and proper shipment movement.
- Provide customers with accurate product and service information and resolve related issues in a timely manner.
- Review purchase orders and shipping documents for accuracy and compliance.
- Plan and track final product shipments based on customer requirements and delivery timelines.
- Make special shipping arrangements as needed to meet unique customer or operational needs.
- Communicate with customers via phone and email to verify account information and provide support.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate freight costs and transportation rates for cost-saving opportunities.
- Support team efforts and contribute to achieving department goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Minimum Qualifications- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in logistics or transportation.
- 1-3 years’ experience in customer service preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing or steel industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Must have supervisor and/or manager recommendation and must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
