Revenue Specialist - ABC Warehouse

The position serves in the Accounting Department at the Mississippi Alcohol Beverage Control Division of the Mississippi Department of Revenue.

This employee will work extensively in the DOR tax system and in the statewide accounting program (MAGIC) to process transactions in accordance with agency policy and procedures. Also, this employee will analyze and reconcile accounts and ensure payments are made timely. They will also communicate with stakeholders and respond to questions related to fees, taxes, rules, policies, and regulations.

To perform the job successfully, an individual must have the following:

• Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in Excel and Word

Preferred Qualifications:

• Accounting / Business degree preferred
• Accounting experience

Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma or high school equivalency and 4 years of experience.
