Accounting Technician II
Location43 - LINCOLN COUNTY, MS
Salary$34,264.99 - $42,466.67 Annually
Responsibilities- Maintains an organized office filing system; copies, files, and retrieves materials in a timely manner.
- Responds to internal and external requests promptly and professionally.
- Prepares month‑end financial reports, including daily attendance reports, contract analysis reports, and vehicle fleet reports.
- Prepares and processes payroll, including reconciliation, auditing, and reporting in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
- Ensures proper processing of accounts payable documentation, including purchase orders, receiving reports, purchase receipts, and invoices.
- Administers petty cash funds in compliance with agency guidelines.
- Generates accounts receivable documents, including invoices, in accordance with shipping tickets and supporting documentation.
- Monitors customer receipts and assists management with collection activities.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices;
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;
Knowledge of office practices and accounting support functions;
Ability to interpret and apply complex policies and procedures;
Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and coordinate work independently;
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines;
Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial and personnel information;
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships;
Ability to perform duties with integrity, professionalism, and courtesy;
Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
Typically requires a High School Diploma or high school equivalency and 1‑3 years of experience. —Agency
Preferred Qualifications:
High School Diploma or high school equivalency and one (1) to three (3) years of experience in accounting support, bookkeeping, payroll processing, or office administration.
